Xylos finally fainted for real.

"Call a car, quickly! Lance!"

Caleb and Ari rushed over, and the Lennons descended into chaos.

As Ari passed by Tania, she cast a look of utter hatred. She was practically seething with the desire to tear her apart. She even raised her hand, attempting to slap Tania. "You wretched woman, you jinx!"

However, Tania's gaze turned icy as she caught Ari's wrist in an iron grip, squeezing it firmly. "Wretched? Are you insulting yourself, Ari? Wait. Actually, I outrank you now. Aren't I basically your aunt now?"

"You... You..." Ari trembled with rage. She then cast a pleading look at Jack. "Uncle Jack, she..."

"Enough!"

Peter grabbed Tania's hand and shoved Ari back, his intense gaze drilling into her. "Have you forgotten what I said? If anyone in the Lennons ever dared to touch Tania, I'd make you regret it."

"Are you out of your mind?" Ari screamed. "Pete, I'm your sister! This wretched woman..."

"Tania is my wife, and I only have two family members-Tania and Brandon. What kind of sister do you think you are?"

"Pete, how can you talk like that?" Caleb's disappointment showed as he frowned at Peter. "Are you really willing to turn against the entire Lennons for this woman? What's so great about her?"

"Everything about her is great," Peter retorted with a dry laugh. "And even if she weren't, I'd still choose her."

He cast a dismissive glance at the Lennons. "Sir Lennon called me back, and I came. Now, my wife and son are tired, so I'll be leaving."

"Stop right there, Peter. If you walk

out that door, you're no longer a part of the Lennons, and there'll be no

place for you at Lennon Group.

Think it over carefully. Are you?

Peter halted at the doorway, his muscles tense at Caleb's words. Tania could feel his body stiffen as he looked back with a derisive chuckle.

"From the day you removed me from

the family at 15, I was never part of the Lennons. You're no father of mine, and as for Lennon Group? ve never cared for it. If you hadn't come begging seven years ago, did you think I would've bothered?"

With that, Peter straightened his back, holding Brandon in one arm and pulling Tania along with the other. They headed for the exit.

Jack got to his feet, taking a few steps before stopping. "Don't forget, you're still my wife!"

Tania froze, turning to look at Jack, who now felt entirely foreign to her. He seemed like a man she could not read at all.
