The Cherished Wife



When Peter and Tania went downstairs to the dining room, they heard Zara telling a story to Brandon. Brandon was listening wide-eyed with excitement, his eyes shining as though he were utterly captivated.

Peter smirked, slipping one hand into his pocket as he walked over. "Brandon, are you full?"

"Daddy!" Brandon quickly turned, jumped off his chair, and hugged Peter's leg. "Grandma is amazing! She knows so many stories, even more than Mommy!"

Peter narrowed his eyes, glancing at Tania. "Really? And what stories does Mommy tell you?"

Brandon tilted his head, thinking. "The Three Bears, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and the Prince and the Frog."

He hesitated a little. "Mommy knows lots of stories too, but she only tells me one each night, so she finishes them quickly."

Peter grinned. "Is that so? Do you really like listening to stories?"

Brandon nodded enthusiastically. "I love it."

"Then, how about letting Grandma tell you stories from now on? Sometimes, Mommy gets very tired."

"Yay!" Brandon clapped his hands and quickly ran back to Zara, grabbing her hand. "Grandma, you have to tell me a story tonight when I go to sleep!"

"Alright!" Zara nodded, smiling. "Mr. Peter, Ms. Tania, you two must be hungry. Go ahead and eat. I'll take Brandon to walk around the garden out at the back."

Meanwhile, over at the Lennon residence, tranquility was nowhere to be found. The news of Xylos fainting from anger had caused chaos, especially since Peter had left with Tania.

The entire Lennon household was thrown into turmoil. When the family doctor arrived in a hurry and saw that Xylos had indeed passed out, he could hardly believe it.

An hour later, Xylos finally regained consciousness under the doctor's care. The first thing he did upon waking was to summon every member of the Lennons.

With Peter and Tania absent, the rest of the family gathered again With his sunken eyes fixed on Jack, Xylos demanded, "Jack, tell me. You don't actually have anything to do with Tania, do you?"

"Dad, I..."

"Hmph, that woman seems determined to go against us Lennons. First, she harmed Jamie, then Pete, and now, you... Have you all lost your senses? That woman is nothing but trouble. Divorce her immediately. Divorce her at once, or don't blame me for taking action against you!"

"Dad, I'm not divorcing Tania!"

"Fool! Are you trying to kill me too? Pete's rebellion is enough. Are you now going to follow his lead? Since you're back, you won't be leaving

again Divorce Tania, and I'll arrange a position for you at Lennon Group.

"As for Peter... he has become a tremendous disappointment. He no longer deserves a place in Lennon Group."

"Dad..." Caleb looked at Xylos in disbelief. "But Pete has been working at Lennon Group for years..."noveldrama

"Hmph, if I don't take action, he'll truly believe that everything he has is his own doing. Without the Lennons and Lennon Group, what would Peter amount to? Absolutely nothing!"
