Tessa was stunned. She had been chased out so many times that she had fallen from her once-prominent position to nothing and been completely ruined. She had grown used to being chased out. However, Rachel was the president of Wealthwave Group and one of the top four beauties of Khoitwood. Despite that, she had also been chased out.

Tessa wondered if Matthew had really become this remarkable.

Rachel wasn't angry at Matthew for chasing her out. Instead, she smiled and said, "Matthew, I know I was in the wrong."

This was the first time in her life she had ever apologized to a man, and she was genuinely sorry.

Matthew had helped her so many times. He had saved Fred and secured her position as president.

Besides, he had resolved the medical public opinion crisis for Wealthwave Group and secured their herbal resources. He had even rescued her from Sheldon.

Looking back, she realized that getting upset with Matthew over a misunderstanding was something she shouldn't have done.

Matthew was really angry to see Rachel still smiling. Although it was much more pleasant than seeing her usual cold expression, he was in no mood to appreciate it at the moment. He waved his hand lazily and said, "Just leave. I'm annoyed just by looking at you!"

Rachel was dumbfounded and didn't know what to say. She had already apologized, but he still wouldn't forgive her.

She suddenly remembered the misunderstanding.

She smiled and said, "Matthew, I was wrong. I shouldn't have been angry with you just because you pounded another woman. It was a misunderstanding, and it won't happen again." Matthew was cheating on Rachel! He'd had sex with another woman! Yet, Rachel, the one who'd been wronged, actually came over to apologize to Matthew?

Tessa's expression was truly something to see it was as if she had seen a ghost.

She finally understood why Matthew wouldn't accept her apology, given that he had changed.

replied, "Maybe it's some new slang from the past couple of years. guess it means spanking. People these days don't use words properly. It just sounds awkward."

It was just as she had expected. He had completely misunderstood the meaning of pounding-he didn't realize it meant sex. Rachel cleared her throat and approached Lorraine with a gift. "Lorraine, look at what I got for you!" she said.

Lorraine ran up with a smile and said, "Rachel, you haven't visited me in so long. I thought you'd forgotten about me." Rachel smiled and replied, "I've just been so busy with work. I'll have more time to see you in the future."

Matthew was at a loss for words. He thought, "She should call her Ms. Carter, but she insists on calling her Rachel." He sat on the side and quietly observed them playing.

Tracy approached Matthew with a smile. "I'm sorry," she said. "I wasn't very kind to you either because of how Rachel acted."

Matthew waved it off and said, "Stop acting like a follower, copying everything someone else does. Don't forget-I saved you in the warehouse."
